She will catch up. She is still young, and with her not talking until late, I'd say she's doing great! I know in our public school, they have the kids memorize some sight words that you can't sound out. Maybe it would be fun to have some memory games, or flash cards with words this summer. My kids went to public school, and then I started homeschooling my 1st grader, 5th grader, and preschooler. God wouldn't let me get it out of my mind, so He'll definately let you know. Best luck! Rachel

I used Math U See last year for 1st grade, and then this year for 2nd grade I switched him to MCP (modern curriculum press) It was an easy transition, and has a great tm. Best Luck! Rachel
