I have the CLE catolog and the Veritas press catolog. I will have to take a cloer look at some of their stuff. So many people on the outside are pressing for me to keep them in school and I just dont think I can do it. My husband says he thinks we can homeschool but if I am going to enlist his help it would be with reading to them and stuff like that. SOSH is very tempting. I keep thinking well how bad could it be for 1 year?

My kids love workbooks and hands on. Odd combo I think lol. I think work books are fun for them. My girls LOVE to use the computer. I thought about getting them SOSH but I am so unsure of the program. My 1st grader (Who wil be 2nd when we start) when I asked him what kinds of things he liked he said workbooks and test. Yep crazy kid loves test lol. And I KNOW he needs to work on his handwritting. I had really liked singapore primary and when they took the placement for it they are really behind. Like the 3rd graders on the 3A and they got less then 50% and the 1st grader same thing on the 1A. I am wondering if we start in the summer if I would feel less of the crunch come Nov and Dec. This baby was not planed at all and while we are very excited and feel blessed, it has thrown so much off this week lol.

We have/had made the choice to homeschool in the fall. We have 6 kids. I have been struggling with finding curriculum that would not leave all 4 big ones needing me 100% of the school day. They would be in grades 4, 2 and K. I knew and know we could do it as long as I found the right material and got us in a good groove. I am excited to take this new adventure on! Well Thursday I found out we are expecting baby number 7. Which has reset so much of our plans lol. Like disney in Dec lol. I am due end of Dec first few days of Jan. My fear is taking on to much and not being able to homeschool effectivly. I dont want to have them home and NOT beable to keep up with them in school. My husband thinks I can do it. He works 12 hour shifts so he isnt home much. This truly is on me. I dont want to not homeschool but I dont want to short change them either. Is there a smilple curriculum that will cover what we need it to that is self directed for the 4th graders? My K'er I am not sure we are goign to do K with this year so that is not as big of an issue as the oldest 3. Arg!!! I am scared and worried I am gonna mess up with everything going on :(

Thanks, I was thinking I could keep them together and start with book 1 with SOTW. Its really WWE and FLL that I am confused on. Is there stuff that the older ones will be missing if we start with book 3 with them?

Ok I have decided that for our first year we are going to use SOTW and FLL & WWE..... I will have a just out of 1st and two just out of 3rd grade kiddos. I have no idea what book to start with in these with them. At all. Do I start at the first one? Do I start at the first one with the just out of 1st grader and the 3rd one with the just out of 3rd? I am so lost and confused! Any and all input is welcome and appreciated! Thank you!

See I thought about focusing on one set subject like poetry but they need variety to keep it interesting and keeping it interesting makes them want to do it.... so I gotta work with it ;) Thanks for the links, off to find something "cool" for us to work on.

I would be ticked. I would also change the phone number and not give it to her or anyone else I didnt want to have it. But I am a very private person and things like that really set me off.

Have no idea what the OP wanted out of a chart heck I have no idea what I would want out of one but if you could do it that is awesome! I just know its so confusing to see what program has what elements and uses what and how much reading and so on and so forth *sigh*
