    Youngest dd opted to go to public high school mid-semester! Although I am now no longer home schooling, I will always be a home school mom at heart.

      Be prepared to be much more interested in the course content than your average high school parent. And you might finding yourself reading the literature books assigned at school so you can still have discussions at home :)

      lol  That's exactly what we are doing with her summer reading. She had a list to choose one book from, but we bought about 6 of them, and are reading one aloud together, and are reading the rest independently.

    I am gearing up for the new school year, and trying to balance homeschooling, working part time, and being a Scout leader.

      You know, in the USSR they used to give out medals to women who had eight or more children. I think we should give medals to women like you. Seriously, that is a lot and if you survive the year, get yourself a medal. Or a ring. That is amazing.

    It's my kids. On the left is my 14 yo ds, who is about to earn his Star rank. On the right is my 13 yo dd, who is a Cadette Girl Scout. Second from left is my 10 yo ds, who is a Webelo II, and next to him is my 7 yo dd, who is a Brownie Girl Scout.

     

    Every once in a while I take a picture of all of them together in their uniforms. That day, I had finally gotten all of 10yo ds's patches on his Webelo uniform, and all the girls' patches on their uniforms, so we took the picture.
