Do you have to have Wi-Fi to be able to download books to a $79 Kindle? Can you plug it into your computer and download books?

Don't mean to hijack this thread but have a question.
I bought my mom one of the $79 Kindles for Christmas but didn't get a charger. Does it come with a cord? Will she be able to charge it on her computer? How about a regular usb wall charger? :confused:

Installed = not a must Portable = we have one and love it. It only gets put in the van when we go on longer trips.
My kids have a bigger screen one they share. It works really good to sit a tot spot chair in the van floor and sit the dvd player on it. It is down low so the light bothers no one at night. During the day there isn't as much glare.

Had a lazy weekend so that is a good weekend :D
Breakfast was a slice of leftover pizza and coffee for me, tea for kiddos.
Lunch will be ??? sandwiches??
We are starting off our week slowly ;). Need to get moving.

Simple things my children enjoy & we do every year:
- after I get the tree up & lights on it, we turn off the tv & put on Christmas music & dc decorate
- baking Christmas cookies with dc
- going to Christmas parade
- riding around looking at Christmas lights, complete with a mug of hot choc & Christmas music playing
- watching Christmas movies together as a family

What makes it worse is when everyone fights over certain gifts and no one seems to want your gift. Kinda hurtful especially if you put alot of time and thought into the gift.
Mil suggested this one time. Dh quickly told her no way. Apparently dh's other family said no also.

Lunch was rice. I am sure someone will be hungry again shortly but that is what they wanted.
Housecleaning -- oh my I need to do alot but in all honestly don't think it is going to happen. Just don't feel like it (month).

It is Tuesday isn't it. Feels alot like a Monday :glare:
Breakfast -- oops forgot again, oh wait I had coffee and 1 minature chocolate donut. Kiddos had juice and mini donuts.
Lunch was chicken nuggets and fries (dh fixed, I wasn't complaining ;))
School routine -- :sad: no and we really need one
House hunting -- no but I dream sometimes. I would be really happy if we could get the house cleaned and organized. It isn't dirty so much as cluttered.

I have a stocking and I fill it.
