Do you ever wish you could just donate the contents of your entire house
all. the. time.
Nothing in our house matches and almost every piece is hand me down or yard sale. Only 2 pieces I would like to keep. My great great grandmothers wardrobe and the hope chest my dad built for me.
I have been trying but I get over loaded and just stop :glare:

I never go anywhere without a book, one never knows when there will be even just 15 min or so to get some reading in.
:iagree:
One day I was sitting at the ball park during ds practice and had laid my book down for a minute. One of the mom's walked by and made some snotty comment about me reading. Hello what business is it of yours?

Put anything small and/or worth more near you.
Have plenty of change
Neater setup usually means more sales
Be willing to make a deal
Have an extention cord or place to plug in items -- people like to check items
Be honest about the items -- if it works part time, say so etc.
Smile and try to say "hi" to everyone
At the end of the sale make box deals --- all the books for a set price etc.

Getting rid of the actual curriculum material has been more difficult. I cried when I purged my shelves of all the junvenile books I knew we would never take off the shelf anymore. I kept only some of the absolute favorites and they are in a box in the attic. I donated all the curriculum to a homeschool store that sponsored some families in need. I gave all the other books to Good Will.
I have slowly been doing this too. I have been boxing it up and posting what I have on our hs message board. If anyone is interested they can have it. I will either take it to the next get together or they can stop by and pick it up.

still waiting here

(hanging my head in shame as I say in a small voice) Pizza
Had no idea what I was going to cook but was planning to cook a decent meal. Asked kiddos what they wanted "pizza" so I asked dh "pizza". I just went with it. Gotta get to the ball park anyway.

The "quiet walkway" hikes just off the roads are very nice. They usually run beside a waterway and aren't very strenuous. Abram's Falls is fabulous. It is quite a hike to get to it. (Of course, I was very pg when we did it...) It is a busy trail. The Blonde Giraffe for frozen key lime pie dipped in chocolate on a stick (to die for!) Log Cabin Pancake House: peanut butter/chocolate chip pancakes!!! Along with everything else already mentioned. There is also a place called Parrot Mountain right behind Dollywood. Haven't been, but will be going soon. (Lots of birds). Oh yeah, make sure to visit the Sugarlands Visitor Center. It has a museum area with stuffed (real) animals and preserved plants all for free.
I think this is the pancake place we went too. YUM-O

Question for the crowd: WHERE THE HECK IS TEXAS?
Midwest? South? Southwest?
It seems every reference puts it in a different region, and I'm confused. I told my kids it's just its own place - state, region, everything LOL.
Yep Texa is it's own place ;)
Any questions you can ask us?
??? My brain is too overloaded to think of any questions right now!
I know that feeling

How did the kids overheat the vacuum? I've had it 6 years and never had trouble with it, but the girls vacuum and suddenly it gives up.
It is something only kids can do ;)

Also if you go to Amazon and play around with wording (free kindle books, free kindle downloads etc) you will get different lists. Also clicking on their wordings after typing in free kindle books.
Sometimes on the left side of the page will allow you to click on type.
pixelofink.com also has daily deals

I would like to express my unabashed love of the art form of television. I like a quality TV show better than most movies.
But all things in moderation and all that.
:iagree:
I see no reason to get rid of my television.:iagree:
We like our tv. :D It is entertainment, it is down time.

I have had good luck by cleaning the area :ack2: then pouring ammonia over the area.
Also if you see a cat coming in your yard, spray with a water gun.
