@math teacher Hoping you got sleep last night.
@mom31257 I am glad you are feeling better.
We were visiting family out of state yesterday for our family Christmas that got put off because 2 of my kids got sick from Nutcracker. We waited 2 weeks because we didn't want to pass on germs to our elderly family. Had a fun day and the kids either late last night or early this morning are going through their piles and piles of gifts.
I didn't sleep at all last night so it isn't going to be a productive day. Praying I get some sleep tonight.
Other than that just laundry, school work, getting the house back in shape, and maybe a grocery order. Tonight will be chill just a movie or something. We should put away Christmas but not feeling up to that.
It is snowing a tiny amount here.
Yes, I slept so good last night. I hope you will tonight!!

- post office
- make a list of things I need to do for school before classes start back
-

put new medical insurance cards in our wallets - sort/put away the Christmas gift wrapping, bags, etc.
- work on a menu for having guests over later this week (ck with them on allergies/food aversions
- stay up to watch the ball drop

I want to try it this year!!
In truth, there's probably no way I can do 1000 hours, with working 10 hour days and it gets over 100 degrees here in the summer.

@math teacher So sorry for the insomnia!! Does that happen to you often?
@mom31257 Sorry you are sick! I hope you are feeling better soon!
More often than I like, but I'm usually not awake for hours. I'm off my normal schedule and didn't take my medication (which includes melatonin) until sometime during the night. I'm trying to stay awake today, and just go to bed early tonight.

I’ll never understand the glee with which some in the previous generation took at getting to hit children. I understand the idea of spanking as discipline and considering it necessary. But to hang belts and rods and sticks. To make home decor out if instruments of violence? I remember my dad crafting a board to smack us with, taking time to cut, sand, and finish it.
Say what you will about today’s parenting, but it has to be better than adults looking forward to getting to hit children with impunity that was so wide spread in previous parenting. Seriously. It’s hard to see because it was so normalized, but it’s a truly disgusting way to enter into parenting. My sister tells me that she caught our mother smiling when she was beating her.

While ds is here, I want to find out what he wants to keep from some electronics he left he when he moved out. PlayStation, games, controllers, headphones, and of course the box of cords. We're getting ready to have a yard sale with mother in law's things, so this is a good time to purge some things.

pick up a prescription-nothing on file
write a check for church-done
read-done

Continue to enjoy Ds being home. Cooking all the things-however tomorrow I am only making lemon bars. I've spent the last two days in the kitchen, and while I loved it, we will eat leftovers tomorrow.
I want to get three fans/light fixtures cleaned tomorrow. Also, want to get a book read that I've been meaning to read. When dh goes back to work on Wednesday, I plan to start working on school work: make notes in my teacher's guide, grade and record papers, and make flashcards.

Only maybe twice in my life. In the places I have lived, the whole town shuts down when it snows, because we aren't equipped for it.

I have really wide feet, even after bunion surgery, and I'm always afraid shoes won't be wide enough. A fellow teacher has some and loves them so I may try them when I need a new pair. I have some of the no drop, wide toe box shoes now and they have been good for my surgery foot.
