  1. Now going and finding out we need hundreds of dollars worth of work done we do not love.

My dentist , when I tell him I can still feel the pain even with novicain , he will shoot some more in there. Other dentist would just let you be in pain. Not Ours.

We have gone to him for 17 yrs.

ALso it helps also if people can afford a twice a year even a once a year visit. It can prevent a lot of the things the dentist found wrong with your teeth .

Sorry you will have to have all this done.:001_huh:

  2. 1 percent of value of house for house burning down or blowing down

2 percent of value for hail and wind and flood

We have always had our deductible higher,.

also you might consider that the value of your house had gone up and also the cost of replacing it since you bought it. We bought ours for 103,000 and our insurance man suggested that since it would cost 135,000 to replace it now to put the coverage of insurance up to 140,000.

  3. We have saxon teacher with book and dvd's. I am not impressed.

DD did the test and I checked the dvd test part and they worked it out but did not give the answer to it. That does not make sense,. how are you to grade it. I know that it has the answers in the answer key book, but it should show the answer on the DVD.

ANyone doing abeka algebra I without any DvD"s. How is it going?

    thanks

  4. My son always struggled with math. We had used Saxon for a few years before Algebra so we just continued on. It was a disaster. Saxon Algebra' date=' while it may be great for some students who "get" math, is not for the struggling student. I found that in the teaching examples, Saxon often left out showing assumed steps, so it was incomprehensible to the struggling student. When I found that it would take me 1/2 an hour just identifying those assumed steps in one problem, I realized that we had to change. I found that ABeka algebra was much more user-friendly, although he still had difficulties with the math.

My dd struggles as well, but I've decided to use the Key to Algebra for her. I wish I had with my son.

    Linda[/quote']

I always heard that Key to algebra was not to be used for a full course of algebra one. That is it more of extra work for the student to do. AM I wrong? My dd hates Saxon algebra and is having a horrible time with it. is there anything else out there for the student that struggles with algebra?
