  1. I tried IEW as I'm using many products from CC, just haven't joined the local group. Due to his struggles with IEW, I gave up on it and winged it. I am reviewing other texts this summer trying to figure out what will work. I picked up LTOW for younger sib and had not even used it so after reading your post I am going to try LTOW. Thanks
  2. I had worked in healthcare for many years and I would suggest you make a comment to your regular dentist. Speak to your usual provider privately in person or on the phone. State that you are happy with his care. Using the term your child used and just restate what was said and you can also state you don't choose to speak like that in your home. Your dentist may not be aware that this occurred. I kept the Medical Director of the long-term care facility I worked at up on issues like this as it can impact their license if something were to happen. My concern would be that if this surgeon chosen to lower their standards in this manner where else might they make similar choices. Professionals such as physicians, dentists, counselors, et al, are licensed for reasons and they should remain professional. You have a specific standard for your family and why should it be lowered?
  3. I just joined and I'm in Vermont! I'm near Burlington, yet I have been going to Bennington area at least once a month. Plus I've also been visiting libraries for the DOL Passport so I have been traveling to towns I don't always get to often. I have two boys 14 and 8 years of age.
  4. My 14yr old fights with his half brother T and their younger 8yr old half-bro felt left out plus he broke his leg and isn't as mobile yet. The 14 yr old had his 12 yr old brother visit (he visits every other weekend) and they took off downstairs together. That is more like the typical fighting we experience. The 14yr old will leave the room when we eat as he says he can't stand listening to anyone eat so he often eats alone. He doesn't like most healthy foods anyway. Anyone have any ways to feed an ASD child healthy food?
  5. Hi, I'm new, just joined today. I recently heard about an ASD site https://SPARKforAutism.org that is hoping to get others to join to help in research. I was thinking grades 8-12 and just noticed it is ages 8-12. My guy just turned 14 so I'll see if there is a group for teens. Please check out the SPARK site. Thanks
