It mainly needs to be quiet and I kind of like the color change ones. This is for one of my kids who has really bad post nasal drip/mucus in her throat that keeps her up at night! My husband didn't even know it was on, it's so quiet. I picked it up at TJ Maxx for a fraction of the cost. I bought the bamboo and white one.
