mathnerd
Poem by my 9 year old DS using words from vocabulary list in Wordly Wise. He chose to write a poem instead of a paragraph. The bolded words are the words from his vocabulary list. ETA: it took him a few hours of work (with multiple rough drafts to get it done). Spring is Here! The sun shines cordially through the whispering treesSinging through pine and oak are the busy beesThe branches earnestly dance a welcome to the warm breezeGenuine joy since the air does not freeze. Little bunnies hop and bounce on meadowsThe ducklings commence swimming in the lakesExhilaration as the drought breaksWith the first drops of welcome rains. Longer days elicit plants to sparkle and bloomEven a skeptic gives up his anguished gloomThe beautiful flowers have manipulated him to leave his roomBecause in spring, he cannot resist the flower’s perfume!
