Muddy paw prints, need a fix!

We have a gazebo type structure in our backyard - it's open with a solid roof, not sure how else to describe it. Inside, there's a sectional with the ubiquitous off white cushions that are often sold on those outdoor sets. I usually wash them a few times per season, but they stay pretty clean.

Not anymore!

Our pup has a tendency to run in the woods, and down a dirt path, tear back up to the yard and jump on the sectional, richocheting off like a pinball. (It's entertaining to see, actually.)

So we have major muddy paw prints.

Would darker cushions hide the mud? Orange, brown, maybe? Is there an easy way to spot clean? Brush them off? Any tips?

I'm not going to keep her off the sectional right away - I'm sure she'll learn eventually but for now I just want to figure out if there's an easy solution here.

You'll probably laugh at this, but we bought a Rubbermaid trunk thing that hold our pillows and cushions when we're not out there. Our dogs would destroy them if we left them out all the time. It take us under a minute to put them out and then away again.

I have seen covers for outdoor furniture. Our dogs would wiggle under them because they like blankets.

Oh!  That's a great idea!  I'm not laughing!

We have a huge deck box out there, with basically nothing in it.  I'm going to see if I can clean it out and if they'll fit, for times we don't think we'll want to run out with our coffee, etc.

I'm also going to see about some fabric to cover them - that would be so much easier to wash than removing the covers so often.  Yay!

Great ideas.  :)
