Happygrl
I forgot to add a cursive book to my Rainbow Resource order last week and I was really hoping to start this week with my 9yo. I have looked at Joy of Handwriting Cursive and saw some on TpT. But I was hoping to get some recommendations.
domestic_engineer
We first started learning cursive using New American Cursive, but we needed more practice between book 1 & 2. So now, we are going through the alphabet again using Don Potter's free Direct Path to Cursive ... http://www.donpotter.net/education_pages/handwriting.html. (the actual "program" is a pdf that is linked in the text. Search the page for "direct" and you'll find it.). The .pdf lays out the progression of what to practice. We just set a timer for 10 min each day and go through what we can. We just use a spiral notebook, but of course there are free lined handwriting pages online if you want to use that.
