ISO thread about Windows upgrade. locking member out and generic password working?

Tried search feature and Google! My MIL's system upgraded, and she's locked out. I seem to remember a thread about this and OP was helped by trying a password recommended here. Anyone remember what that was? TIA.

OP I seem to recall a thread like that. It was begun by, or contributed to, by someone whose DD had the *magic* solution. The solution worked on one platform (possibly an iPhone) and then, amazingly, worked on another, different platform.  Hopefully someone will see your post and provide the magic answer.
