hisforhomeschooling
Thinking about using this next year. How did you use it? What did you like or dislike? What did you buy? Anything you wish you did/didn't buy? Thanks!
scrapper4life
I'm a couple levels behind, but I use it and love it. As with all the BJU materials, it is packed with activities. I don't use a work text with Bible. I just got the teachers edition, but that is enough to lead in the lesson and activities. There are a ton of online videos, visuals and coloring pages, etc that I can get if needed.
Peaceful Isle
My kids have used the BJU Bible truths periodically through elementary, but always did it with the distance learning videos. I don't know how it would be teaching it from the teacher manual. They did learn a ton with their online teachers though.
Junie
We have used the BJU Bible Truths for years. I have never bought a Teacher's Edition. I just get the student workbook. There might be one or two pages in the book that we skip because you need something from the teacher's edition, but it is really not that hard to do without. We have used these since the beginning, from preschool the whole way up through high school. Ds15 will be doing the 12th grade book next year and dd5 will be starting her first. :) My kids seem to like the books, and I think that they do a good job of teaching. The early books are similar to Sunday School pages. Some have puzzles that you may need to help them with, but they aren't so hard that you really need an answer key. hth
