OneStepAtATime
DD was watching as I was perusing various geography curriculum for next year (at DS's request). She asked if we could get Visualizing World Geography because it seemed right up her alley. I was surprised that she was even volunteering to spend time on geography. This is not a popular subject for her. Anything she is enthusiastic about I am willing to give it a go...but this is a rather frighteningly expensive program for covering just this one subject. Mom is willing to pay half if I determine this would be a worthwhile investment, but I don't want to just blow money (hers or mine) for no good reason. Has anyone used this? It does seem that it would work well for both kids, we can add some construction in an art medium for a more kinesthetic approach and they love watching DVD's for learning, but.... geodob
I just had a look at their website. Where I saw that they also have a 'homeschool group licence'. Perhaps some other members might also be interested in it? Where you could get a group licence, and reduce the price.

Although our homeschooling group is pretty insular there might be some newbies that would want to expand their horizons and pitch in. It can't hurt to ask. :)
SandyKC
We used it! Both of my boys liked it and my older son did particularly well with it since he is a highly visual learner. It is one of my all time favs out of all of the programs we used. ;-)

SandyKC
Well, that's encouraging! Thanks, Sandy! How's your family? I THINK we're about to end this healthcare saga!! We'll see in a couple of weeks when we are going for what should be the last of the surgical procedures. Otherwise, all is going well.. Looking forward to my son graduating from college too! :-D

Well, tell him congratulations from me (not that he will care, but honestly this is so cool!! You and your kids have worked so hard to get there. Yeah!!!!) Best wishes. I did order the Visualizing World Geography material. Mom helped and wants to do it with us. Looking forward to it. May ask some other homeschoolers to join us....
