Seems incredibly mean spirited to me. I read every word of it, and while individual bits do seem cruel, I think the overall message was sympathetic and thoughtful. It is commentary on society, how society sees her and how society treats the royals in general. I don't see anything aimed at her on a personal level. (And yes, I barfed a little at saying "bump.") ETA: This is the funniest thing I've read all day: The conservative press loves a good woman v woman – or "author v princess" – fight because it suggests that women are all hysterical girlies who can't be trusted with proper grownup issues because they'll start throwing tampons at one another.
