swimmermom3 Posted February 24, 2011 Share Posted February 24, 2011 Do you teach the writing modes in a particular order: narrative, descriptive, expository, and persuasive? When your middle school student has advanced to writing paragraphs, do you teach them to write a paragraph in each mode or do you move from paragraph to essay in narrative format and then move on to say, descriptive writing?
