ondreeuh
My dd is taking Geometry in public high school, and I purchased the ebook version and coordinating DVD lectures through Amazon Marketplace. It turns out that the textbook author and professor on the DVDs is Edward Burger, who does math lectures for Thinkwell. So I looked at the Thinkwell website and the chapters totally line up with the Holt geometry book. SO this now becomes a Chalkdust-for-less kind of option. You could buy the Holt Geometry textbook or eBook (a LOT cheaper!) and the lesson tutor DVDs (currently out of stock but I paid $4 for a brand new sealed set), as well as the solutions. If you click on his name on Amazon, you can also see the other textbooks he authored, so I assume the lesson tutor DVDs for those books are also the same as Thinkwell lectures. It's always good to have options!
Jann in TX
The student text has the codes to sync the lessons with the Holt text... These are FREE. The Holt text is VERY BUSY--but when used with the teaching supplements it is a GREAT curriculum. This is what I'm using with my online classes... ondreeuh
Very cool that the videos are online! Chloe and her friends say they really like the book (and their teacher, which of course helps!). I'm glad to hear you think it's good as well.
