Ohdanigirl
I know it's early, but I have been thinking about enrolling ds in JH - Writer's Workshop next year. I am just wondering about the placement test/essay. He was a reluctant writer, but avid reader. His writing has taken off, though. I would say creative writing is where he is weakest. What has your experience been with this process? How confident a writer was your dc before getting in to the class? Thanks. Danielle

Janice in NJ
If you are sure that you want to take the class, I would email the head teacher and ask for information. Each level of English at TPS has a head-instructor who helps pace that level. I'm sure they would be happy to give you information about how to properly prepare your child for success in the class next year. Peace, Janice
Ohdanigirl
That's a good idea, thanks. I saw the list of what ds should be able to do, but was still curious. Danielle
Beth in SW WA
I saw what dd needed for TPS English 2 and made sure she was ready. I look forward to my younger dds taking WW in 5th or 6th. It looks like a fantastic class. TPS is such a blessing to me. Dd 8th takes 3 classes this year.
