Laurel Tree online literature classes ???

Has anyone done the Laurel Tree online lit classes? I am thinking of signing my dd up for the younger junior high one, but I would love some positive input before I actually commit.

Hi Gwen,

 

The only two people who posted on Laurel Tree that I remembered were Janice NJ and Joan in Geneva, and both had kids who took composition courses. I'm interested too on hearing feedback/s on the literature courses. I have been looking at Intro. to Literature. I'm thinking of emailing Rebekah and see if I can get in touch with a parent or student who took her literature course.

Have you emailed Rebekah and asked to see her syllabus etc? None of my kids have taken her lit classes; I believe they are new. I was very pleased with the way she ran her composition class though. A responsible young woman. :001_smile:

 

I would suggest that you start asking her questions to see if it might be a good fit for your daughter.

 

As far as her professionalism - we were pleased... and I guess that's saying a lot. Not all of our on-line classes have been a thumbs-up experience. ;)

that the lit courses are new. She just started the LT business this spring. Before she was working under Debra Bell and just in composition...

 

I'm thinking of the lit courses too, but don't like the book selection that much. I've written to her about making it more WTM- like....:)

 

I think she's just finishing up her senior year at university as an English major, so maybe she's too busy at the moment...I'm waiting to see...
