paulcindy
My 10 yo daughter is writing a book. She would either like to A. Try to submit it to different publishers and/or B. Send it somewhere where it can be professional done into a book. Any ideas? Thank you:)
MamaSheep
Assuming that it is a children's book, you want this book if you plan to submit it to publishers: http://www.amazon.com/2009-Childrens-Writers-Illustrators-Market/dp/1582975493/ref=pd_sim_b_4 . It lists the publishers and how they accept submissions, and should also give you good information about preparing a manuscript for submission. If you just want a few professionally bound copies for family and friends, I would suggest a print on demand resource like www.lulu.com. ETA: Another book that's very helpful in doing the actual writing and illustrating is this one, though it's really geared toward adults and is fairly long: http://www.amazon.com/Writing-Pictures-Write-Illustrate-Childrens/dp/0823059359/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1239720495&sr=1-
3lilreds in NC
If you can get the file ready, you can self-publish on Lulu.com.

MamaSheep
I don't know if Writer's Market publishes a listing specifically for the young adult market. I wouldn't be surprised, I just didn't see one. There's one for novels and short stories, which may have a YA section: http://www.amazon.com/Novel-Short-Story-Writers-Market/dp/1582975434/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_c You might look for the one that's just called "Writer's Market" at your library. If I recall correctly it has sections for most of the genres and most libraries have it in their collections.
