Alicia64
Hi Everyone, Still feeling brand new to hs. I'm really interested in buying Sing, Spell, Read and Write -- but it's pricey. Everybody talks about buying used, but I don't know where to start. Could you point me in the right directions? Thanks, Alicia
christielee7278
There is a sell and swap board on this forum. Also I like www.homeschoolclassifieds.com.
coffeefreak
I don't use ebay anymore. Once you figure in shipping, ebay gets their cut and paypal gets their cut, it racks up the price considerably. I use Homeschoolclassifieds.com and these boards. I've never had a problem buying or selling on here, but on ebay I've had numerous problems. I just make sure I'm very, VERY specific whether I'm buying or selling. That way, there are no surprises for me or the other party. I'm over specific to the point of saying which page numbers are damaged/written on if I'm the seller . If I'm buying, I have in my head the most I'm willing to pay for it used. That helps me look and negotiate. If something is new, I'm usually willing to pay 80% of the "new from the company" price, but that includes shipping. If something is used but in excellent/very good condition, it depends but never more than 80%. Part of that involves shipping. I can get free shipping from all the vendors if I spend a certain amount. Sometimes, this makes it cheaper for me to buy new instead of piecemealing it together. I know that sounds like a lot to digest, but hopefully I helped:blush: blessings! Dorinda

LadyAberlin
I would be careful buying Sing Spell Read and Write used. You will want to ask a lot of questions since there are so many components to the program.
