Just Another Jen
I'm looking for some suggestions from someone who's btdt. My mil was diagnosed with cancer today. We'll have more info on her prognosis tommorrow but she has a mass in her lungs and they are fairly certain it has already spread into her bones. My dh and I will have to handle all decision making as his dad, brother and sister are all non- recovered active alcoholics. It just stinks because she is a wonderful 63 year old woman, who has had a lot of trouble in her lifetime not through her own choices. She's the only active grandparent my kids have. Anyway, besides advocating medically for her. Does anyone have any advice as to how to handle making decisions that are sure to be criticized later? Also any ideas on what I can bring to the hospital? She's pretty doped up on vicadin tonight. But how about after she gets her prognosis? thanks

Jennifer in MI
No advice - just lots of hugs and prayers. My dad has cancer, but he is still able to make all of his own decisions. :grouphug::grouphug:
