buddhabelly
We have been studying Latin for two years and still have not purchased a dictionary! A recent assignment in LFC B requires one, and I'm ready to make the plunge. I can't remember which one you all recommended. Help? Thanks in advance! Beth in Central TX
I like the Latin & English Dictionary by John Traupman. But Abbeyej linked a cool on-line one: http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/cgi-bin/ptext?layout.reflang=la;layout.reflookup=sentio;doc=Perseus%3Atext%3A1999.04.0059%3Aentry%3D%2343682
Plaid Dad
My favorite student dictionary is Cassell's.

frogpond1
and I cannot understand why some words appear in one and not the other etc. I picked them both up cheap and usually use both of them in reading.
buddhabelly
Thank you(se) so much for your help! The online one is fun, but some exercises actually call for us to page through it. I am one of those geeky people who loves to just page through dictionaries, so I will enjoy Cassell's (and probably Traupman as well). Your prompt responses are much appreciated. Gratias tibi ago.
