Sarah CB
Anyone knows any school in the abbotsford area that's registering homeschoolers? I think that any school in the province would have to register you so, theoretically, you could walk up to your local public school and ask them to register you. I don't know of any homeschool friendly schools that are based in Abbotsford, but I know that HCOS has teachers nearby. I would recommend finding out where other local homeschoolers register (or enrol) and go with that.
Sarah CB
Registration is now up: http://www.bcconvention.ca Maggie Hogan (publisher of Mystery of History) will be the main speaker. We have a Facebook group, too. If anyone is coming - let me know. Maybe we can all write something telling on our nametags so that we can identify each other. westcoastmom
We are an hour west. Any school can register your child, but there are some who will give you back part or most of the $175 or whatever it is that the gov't gives them for registering you. There are distributed learning schools that have optional classes, resource lending libraries and give parents funding to spend on educational classes/curriculum. I don't know if there is one in Abbotsford.
