Blessed with seven
If you had a child you were wanting to get caught up a bit in Math would you do CLE or Math Mammoth? Thanks! Kim
Lovedtodeath
Is there something specific to catch up on, or is it in general? Are you using a program that you intend to keep using or are you switching from it to one of these?
razorbackmama
CLE is a spiral curriculum, whereas Math Mammoth is mastery. So that might make a big difference as well.
TracyR
It depends on what you want. Like the poster above me said CLE is spiral, Math Mammoth is mastery. I haven't used Math Mammoth , but I'll put a good plug in for CLE. I like the fact its in workbook form and the child in about 4th and up can independtley work through it. Many people have had much sucess with CLE math.
Blessed with seven
I am really just needing him to master his math facts and "understand" them, if that makes sense. Kim
Lovedtodeath
Kim, what are you using that is not working for this? Addition made easy is working well for memorizing facts for us. We are using MUS for the understanding, which I think works very well for that part. If your choice is between those two, I would go with MM because you can pick out specifically what he needs to work on, both because it is mastery and because it is marketed that way, in little "bits" to supplement. razorbackmama
What you might use then are some of the Blue Book sheets from Math Mammoth. It's not the whole grade, but just particular topics, with the instruction included.
Blessed with seven
I think that is what I need is the Math Mammoth. I want my topics to be seperate, at least for now. Kim
