Spy Car
I feel strongly that animals ought to be raised compassionately. For years I didn't eat eggs because I want happy with the way hens are raised in factory egg "farms". Now we keep our own backyard flock. They enjoy their days running around our big yard, soaking up sun, foraging for bugs, and enjoying a pretty nice life. When we need to replenish their numbers it does occasionally mean we have cockerels that need to be slaughtered. I've read up on the most humane way to accomplish this (unpleasant) task and we eat the meat. This is not a "perfect" solution, but as long as we are eating animals and animal products it's about the best we can do. Bill
Haiku
I don't consider veganism as wacky zealotry. I don't think everyone thinks it is, but I have been called a zealot in the past for saying something as (what I consider to be) mild as, "Just because we can eat animals doesn't mean we have to."
