Oh my goodness, what kind of monster would not take care of their mom.  I absolutely must. I am just so weary of being responsible. If I choose wrongly, she could die. It would be my fault. I worry about my step-dad driving. I worry about what happens if I am not there.  I cannot imagine walking away from my mom.

Well, there is your answer then.  Be glad you have the resources to hire much of it done.  Be glad you don't live 18 hours away.  Be glad you don't have to work/pay bills and struggle with that while also caring for your mom.

It is ok to vent to us.  It is ok to be weary.  A lot of us are weary about one thing or another.  However, it is a privilege to care for the people we love.  Reframing it as a privilege instead of a burden might help you.
