brownie
DS (17) is applying to PAN camp and I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience. I heard about it here but there is not too much info out there on what they actually do at camp. How is it run...like a course? stand-alone lectures? research? labs? projects? Variety of topics across physics or narrow in scope? Thanks!
8filltheheart
My ds was accepted but opted not to attend, not bc he wasn't interested but bc he was accepted to SSP at the same time and the schedules did not work together. The fact that it is free is pretty awesome. One thing that sticks out in my memory is that they didn't offer any assistance in getting to campus. So for our ds he would have had to figure out how to get from the airport to campus. I don't know much about the camp other than that except that it is well-respected in terms of physics and the experience that students have.
