If you've gone previously but have put off a needed annual appointment, please make an appointment & go. If you go routinely & it's time for your next appointment in the coming weeks, please make an appointment & go. Also, places near you might be offering walk-in appointments during the month. That's what I did this morning on my way home from the gym. I had needed to make an appointment, had even tried calling a week ago but got stuck on hold too long & had to hang up. Near my gym, the health center is offering walk-in Thursday mammograms during October. Felt a little badly walking in all sweaty from my workout but figured medical folks have seen it all anyway. And now I'm done, one more important self-care task taken care of. If you have family members or friends who need to go, please remind them. It's easy to remember to take care of & help others.
