My child is in 8th grade and did First Form last year and I switched him to Latin Alive Book 1 this year, which I am sorry I did. He really dislikes Latin even though he is fairly good at it, and I'm honestly not interested in having him translate classics, which is what I've been told is a primary reason for learning the language. I really want him to have a strong grasp of the vocabulary, though. My husband and I want him to have one more year of Latin, but I'm not so sure about sticking it out with Latin Alive.
