Tap Posted August 30, 2018 Share Posted August 30, 2018 I am shipping a package from Portland Oregon, to Wichita Falls Tx. If I use the shipping calculator on USPS the price is the same for a <25lb box that is 21x13x13 or any other size I put in, including 16x9x9 (roughly 2/3 the size). They are all about $61. From what I gather (for a larger box) if you add length plus girth as long as it is under 108 inches, the price is weight based. Do I understand this correctly? We are shipping snacks and a laptop to my SIL at Sheppard Air Force base. We can make every fit in the smaller box if we need to. But if we can use the bigger box, it allows more room for bubble wrap to protect the laptop and light weight snacks. We can't use the set rate Priority boxes because none are big enough for the laptop. It is spendy, but the more I can put in this one box, the better if we are able to stay under 25lbs.
