ErinSo
My dd10 has not done much (probably not enough) composition. We have done handwriting and Language Lessons for the Very Young Child along with spelling and reading. We'd like to add a program to improve her ability to compose sentences and paragraphs. She likes to doodle and be creative, so something a little artsy would hold be great. Where do we start?
kristin0713
I suggest listening to some Bravewriter podcasts about the stages of growth as a writer. This has revolutionized how I'm approaching writing and given me so much more peace and freedom. Copywork and creative writing projects are perfect for a 10yo. Ellie
Writing Strands, Level 3. Also, Easy Writing (by the author of Easy Grammar) provides practice in writing sentences of different kinds; you pick and choose which ones you want your child to work on.
