blondeviolin
I took a gamble that we wouldn't run into this situation when they stopped publishing LP since level three wasn't easy to find then. And now the only one I can find is $600+ on Amazon. We have done GREAT with LP so ideally I'd like to move forward with something similar. Any recommendations? We prefer classical Latin. (And we tried Latin Alive and it was a fail here.)
Targhee
Why not jump into Wheelocks?
blondeviolin
I have wheelocks. After a cursory glance it looks like a lot of explanation. LP gives explanations, but they are short and succinct. Wheelocks just looks like so much (English) reading compared to translations. blondchen
No need to find something else! Horrible Ray has brand new Latin Prep books in stock, at 20% off the list price. I just ordered LP 2 and 3 from him (and I hope, for your sake, that I didn't nab the last available copies!). http://www.horriblebooks.com/galoreparkbooklist.htm
