HelenNotOfTroy
My fifth grader wants to learn about comparative anatomy, are there any resources for this below college upper division?
Dmmetler
The FameMaster 4D models are excellent. DD built, sketched, and labeled them. It's neat to be able to pull out, say, all the hearts or all the kidneys and compare them :). We also do have college level vertebrate and invertebrate anatomy texts. One thing DD has enjoyed doing is checking Halloween plastic skeleton models for accuracy -Targef usually has animal ones. Athena's Academy has a class in Comparative Invertebrate Anatomy for that age group.
HelenNotOfTroy
Those models look great! I ordered a cheap textbook to at least have on hand and have requested the books my local library system has to look through. If he continues to be interested and wants to try invertebrates, we may try that class.
