Earthmerlin
I missed the boat on enrolling my 7 yr old daughter in a 1 week writing camp. It was to have the kids go through the process of writing & publishing an original story. I'm bummed I didn't act quick enough because it's soooo up her alley. Any ideas on piecing together something at home that would come close? A parent's guide on creative writing? I know there are sites where you can also order a hard copy of your original work. Monica_in_Switzerland
You could get a lot of inspiration from The Most Wonderful Writing Lessons Ever by Mericonda. I love that book. But I think it would take more than a week. She breaks creative writing down into easily understood chunks, practices each skill separately, then the kids do writing projects.

I actually have that book, LOL! I'll pull it out again to draw ideas & inspiration from.
