Mary70 Posted May 5, 2017 Share Posted May 5, 2017 My question is this: is the Wheel of Fortune (I think it was in Book I?), the same thing that is described in Book IV, about the concentric rings, with God in the middle, and everything further out getting more random in nature? Bluegoat Posted May 5, 2017 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Well, they are different metaphors and I think are meant to bring out different truths, but yes I think they do overlap. The rings are an image that are meant to show how divine omniscience, the subjectivity of non-divine perception, and providence and fate, fit together.
