bluebonnetgirl
I am looking at and liking a lot www.mathhelp.com and am considering it for my son's Algebra I course. I really like how slowly and clearly the guy speaks and explains. Here are some video samples: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzjlFur5AtcmEwWfFfKnHf_zqoPNZtP_q Here is a parent review: http://www.homeschoolmath.net/reviews/yourteacher.php And here is Cathy Duffy's review. It is on of her Top Picks: http://cathyduffyreviews.com/homeschool-reviews-core-curricula/math/grades-9-12/mathhelp-online-interactive-math-courses-for-prealgebra-algebra-1-geometry-and-algebra-2 Yet, you don't hear much about it on this forum. I don't even think it is listed in the High School pinned math thread. Anyone using it as a stand alone program? Based on what I see in the demo, it looks like for each lesson there is a: Short video lesson (average of 2-4 minutes) Sheet of notes 8 Practice questions 5 Self-test questions 10 worksheet questions My son really took to the program, working with it for an hour He did about 4 lessons in one sitting). He said the explanations are clearer than Teaching Textbooks. I like how it is interactive, partly on the computer, and partly worksheet based. Anyone using this or have used this as their main Algebra I program (or above)? Thanks! Edited March 16, 2017 by bluebonnetgirl
