mykidsrmyjoy
I'm planning on using MOH this coming school year with DD but got to looking at Veritas Press Ancient History and thought the timeline cards look really nice. Has anyone used these cards as a supplement to MOH, or do you think that would be overkill?

PeterPan
Yeah, just choose. Do VP *or* MOH. Have you looked at the samples? She's on the young end still for MOH. People make it work, but still it's a lot of text for the age. The VP cards *are* wonderful, yes. They're a more concise approach than MOH. I really like the VP self-paced online classes too. I did them with my dd. My ds has significant SLDs and autism, so instead with him I'm doing things really really differently. We're doing just the activities from the SOTW AG and reading through all the resources I have from doing the VP cards with my dd. See, that's the thing. By the time you've bought the cards and the memory song cd, you've got the full curriculum. I don't remember if they sell the song by itself anymore. It comes with the enhanced cd pdf, and that's the tm. So then you've got two full curricula, which is overkill. MOH comes with instructions to make your own timeline activities.
