lulalu
I like the looks of Alpha Phonics. We will be starting reading instruction this spring. Do the Progressive phonics books fit well together? Or is it better off to get the readers that go with Alpha Phonics?
bethben
I've used Bob books, Nora Gaydos books, and the Sonlight little beginning books with Alpha Phonics. I used Alpha Phonics with all of my kids. One tip I have is to copy the pages and cut them up into smaller sections. That whole page of words or sentences to read overwhelmed each of them. If I cut it up and gave it to them in chunks, it helped them not to feel overwhelmed.
lulalu
Good idea! Thanks for the tip. Maybe I will just use a bunch of what we have. I like the thought of no pictures in the readers that were made for alpha phonics, but I think my ds would not like that. However, I don't want pictures to be a crutch.
