happy7
So, my 9 year old lost his Growing with Grammar book over Christmas break. :tongue_smilie: I'm debating whether I want to replace it with the same one or buy something different, preferably with a pdf download. I'm not sure he was retaining much with GWG. Suggestions? I just need something to get through June, so it needs to be cheap!
Ellie
Honestly, no matter what you use, I don't know how much "retention" there is for younger children. :-) If he doesn't hate it, I'd just stick with it, and do something different next year, especially since he's just nine, because you'll want to do grammar at least once or twice more. FindingMyWay
I'm doing The Sentence Family with my 9yo, and he LOVES it! Seems to be retaining, too, so far. ETA: CurrClick has it as a download, and you could easily finish it by June. Edited January 5, 2017 by FindingMyWay

And I can use it with 2 of my other kids to help reinforce the concepts, too. Thanks!
rainbowmama
I really like First Language Lessons. You can start right at level three.
mtomom
I was going to recommend FLL--having that memory stuff in the head comes in handy later. But sentence family is very cute--I hope he likes it!
