Hilltopmom
I have a room I need to redo. It currently has wallpaper that has been painted over. Except for a big place my kids tried to tear it down, sigh. I really really don't want to have to try to strip the old wallpaper/ paint combo off. Can I use self adhesive wallpaper over it? Does that stuff work well? I hate the old style dip & wet kind. It's a big room.

magnificent_baby
I have never heard of this but if you don't get any responses, I would try gardenweb forums. It's a great resource for any home related topic.
Jyhwkmama
You might consider a product like this: https://www.lowes.com/pd/allen-roth-White-Strippable-Non-Woven-Paper-Prepasted-Paintable-Wallpaper/3379098
Jyhwkmama
not to serial post, but if you read the customer reviews for that product, you will be amazed many informative independent reviews, compete with photos
MyLittleBears
Ugh. I hear your pain. I think it's worth removing, however. Renting a steamer will be your best bet. Nice clean walls to paint or apply new paper to.
