MorningGlory
Has anyone actually used this Latin translation course? I've done some searching and can't find any posts with "first hand" experiences. I would love to hear from someone who has used it. Was it worthwhile? Did it enhance your Henle studies? Would you use it again? Background: My 10 year old son (5th grade) will finish LC II by Christmas break (after having completed PL and LC I). At this point, I plan to have him begin Henle with the MP study guide. And I have found that my goals for his Latin studies have changed. Initially, I was only interested in Latin for its vocabulary boost. But my son seems to have a natural "knack" for this language; he is mathematically-minded and loves the order and patterns of Latin. That is why I thought a translation course along with Henle might appeal to him. Thank you! Jetta

I bought Lingua Biblica about the time we were starting Henle I with the MP study guide. It sat on my shelf unused for over a year. I liked the idea of it, and the MP people have done a nice job in lining it up with Henle study, but we just weren't geeked up enough about Latin to add this to the mix, I suppose. We are still using Henle and are about halfway through the second MP study guide now, but just a week or so ago I sold Lingua Biblica without ever having started a lesson. WTMCassandra
We are using this. I am in LCII, Lesson 17, and we do a lesson of Lingua Biblica here and there, usually on pieces they are already familiar with. I think it is beneficial. Sometimes the children get tired of parsing each word, but I do think it is useful for both their English and Latin studies.
