I want a book that is like a dictionary of people and places covering ancient history forward that will give a brief explanation of the person or location and, most importantly, the pronunciation.

Stopping to google the correct pronunciation is just killing my efficiency. I do not seem to retain a great memory for pronunciations. Dd starts laughing at me because I will say the same name 5 different ways in the same paragraph.

When we used TOG they had a people and places glossary that did this for each section, but we are using History of the Ancient World now. Some of these names and places are driving me nuts, and I will not settle for 'close enough'  because I feel like an idiot stumbling over words left and right.
