gstharr Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 My son's 6th grade math circle is starting up a geometry class. The text will be Geometry in Problems, Alexander Shen (translated from Russian) available through the American Mathematic Society (bookstore, ams, org). The text is certainly different from any other. The AMS bookstore is quite interesting. Books covering all aspects of math--mostly way, way, way over my level of interest and comprehension, but a fun browse. 1 Quote
musicalmom1125 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I checked the book out at AMS and it looks pretty cool. Could be a fun way to approach geometry. Quote
gstharr Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 The class starts this week. I'll report in a month or two. 1 Quote
