Any thoughts on whether to create a ZeeMee account for the Common Application?  

 

I'm leaning towards skipping it.

Unless you think that there is a substantial benefit to your kid profiling some aspect of their experience, I think I'd skip it.  It might be a good tool for kids that don't fit well within typical application boxes.  But it seems like a lot of work for something that might just be dismissed.

It strikes me as a little bit of a solution in search of a problem.  Also as something that duplicates what the new Coalition App offers with its virtual locker.

Yes, I've concluded it isn't worth doing.

 

I did communicate with an admission person at a small, liberal arts school (friend of a friend).  She said most students aren't submitting it, and if they do it doesn't have much impact.  Basically, it won't hurt, but it probably won't help.

 

I'm glad to have something to take off the to do list!

I think it might be useful for someone who was atypical.  A homeschooler might well use the tool to convey what their homeschool academic life is like.  But there are also lots of other ways of conveying that information.
