hmsmith870
Hi all! I'm a new homeschooler this year! (Very excited and of course a little overwhelmed...) I wanted to put a list together for myself and any other new homeschoolers out there of resources that are helpful to new homeschoolers. Here are a few that I've found incredibly helpful so far (and eased my anxiety) - but would love the opinion of experienced homeschoolers on these tips and pages, or any other suggestions you have! And please feel free to add to this list :) HSLDA: http://www.hslda.org/default.aspx Scheduling Your Homeschool: http://simplehomeschool.net/scheduling-the-homeschool/ Getting Organized: https://www.thehomeschoolmom.com/homeschool-help/getting-organized/ Homeschool Groups and Coops: https://www.homeschool-life.com/groups.cfm Homeschool Guide - 7 Styles of Learning & Activities Ebook: http://www.educents.com/homeschool-guide-7-styles-of-learning-activities.html First Successful Day: http://www.weirdunsocializedhomeschoolers.com/category/planning-and-organization/ Homeschool Supply List: http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/blog/2012/05/homeschool-supply-list.html Edited August 20, 2016 by hmsmith870
OneStepAtATime
If you or anyone you know has a child that is struggling a bit or a lot academically then "Homeschooling Your Struggling Learner" by Kathy Kuhl could be a huge help. Also The Mislabeled Child and The Dyslexic Advantage both by Brock and Fernette Eide, while not for homeschooling per se, could be very helpful in that scenario.
