How do you make, do, whatever, your home movies?(I have a macbook)

I loaded all my home movies on to the macbook. Then I ran out of space of memory. OK..now what? I don't even know what I am doing as it is. Do I save them off to disks? Not disks maybe..but..umm...how can I show them on TV? Or store them to watch as I want to see them?
