Health curriculum from a faith-based but realistic perspective

Recommended Posts

It's that time...the Birds and the Bees.  DS9 and DD10 are getting ready to launch into those most tumultuous years known as "puberty".

Can anybody recommend a good, solid health curriculum that approaches these subjects (drugs, alcohol, sex, STDs, healthy bodies, etc etc etc) from a good, solid Christian perspective?  A perspective that is Biblical, but not archaic.  Honest and realistic.

DD has already received the American Girl book, I can't remember it's name now.  And DS has received The Dangerous Book for Boys.  Both kids got these books on their 9th birthdays.  But it's time to move on up.

Thanks for any advice!

I know abeka puts out a health curriculum, but I haven't purchased one from them since I bought the one designed for use in second grade. (It certainly didn't touch on the birds and the bees... ;) ). I have no idea what the content or quality of the upper levels would be, and I assume that there are better resources. So, for all intents and purposes I just want to say ... Bump
