journey00
My kids are 11 & 12. They love playing those games but we need one that concentrates on fractions or has fractions along with math facts. Do you have a favorite? Thanks. :) Edited May 9, 2016 by journey00
maize
How about assigning fraction problems in prodigy? (Do you know how to make assignments for them from your parent account?)
SilverMoon
Khan Academy isn't as gamey, but the little avatars and such you can earn add a fun element.
journey00
@Maize: I did not realize I could do this with fractions. Honestly, I couldn't understand how to navigate the site and gave up. But, I can try again. Ty.
maize
Go into your parent account (sign in with your email address). On the left of the page is a menu, and one option is assignments. Click on that and you can choose a curriculum plan and grade level and it will give you a list of topics. The most problems you can assign In one set is 25, but you can go back and make more assignments and the program will have the kids work through the entire list. Try different grade levels if you are not seeing the type of problem you want. You can also go into the planning tab and tell the program to focus on a particular topic for the week or month or whatever, this does not seem to work out as well for me as making individual assignments though. Thank you for this! I have known how to go in and give specific assignments (which works well but can be tedious), but I didn't even know about using the planning tab. I'll have to give this a try as well!
